My first forever horse, Burt, lived to a sound, healthy 35 years. And Gunner is now 32. Flanigan only lived to be 21, but we owned him since he was 7 and he was only retired for the last year of his life, so I had thirteen good years of partnership with him. I'm very grateful.Laura Crumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15200878892304748308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037107797013641705.post-84159084178087570812012-07-22T11:26:50.718-07:002012-07-22T11:26:50.718-07:00Lovely tribute to two very fine horses - you are f...Lovely tribute to two very fine horses - you are fortunate indeed to have been able to share your life with them. Your old guy indeed does look very good, and like he's enjoying his life. Glad his companions responded when you went out so he felt safe again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037107797013641705.post-68887031035089181442012-07-22T10:31:45.340-07:002012-07-22T10:31:45.340-07:00Also, I really like the old pictures and stories. ...Also, I really like the old pictures and stories. I ended up walking the fence line in the dark, really worried. It turns out Poncho had found a place where there were rails down and gone through. He was close by, but ignored Snowie's frantic calls.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04986249712144982103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037107797013641705.post-40168100173342999922012-07-22T10:07:32.583-07:002012-07-22T10:07:32.583-07:00Thanks Val. Bad, bad friends should have at least whinnied to him!Dreaminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02113432418609414054noreply@blogger.com
