Really great how the lives of those two horses turned out and also, the people who took them on. Laura, thanks for sharing those two stories! His sire was by a Lucky Blanton son named Lucky Chaw and out of a Catecue (sp?) mare. The dam was by a Roan Hancock son called Speedy Peake. She had some Driftwood in there. And yes, before you ask, a lot of this line were broncos. And yes, hearing about Artie made me realize that you can sell one and have a happy ending. It doesn't always happen, but it is possible. I will cross my fingers that your rescued guy ends up with the right home.Laura Crumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15200878892304748308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037107797013641705.post-91776209592844578692008-09-03T13:14:00.000-07:002008-09-03T13:14:00.000-07:00What a great story. I have 5 horses that I board, so I can't take on another one right now (much to my irritation, considering people are pretty much giving away horses now), but when I get my own place up and running (hopefully in the next year), I plan on having at least one rescue horse on the place at all times. And frankly, I'd like to have at least one rescue cat and dog. I have to limit myself, or I'd have too many. But how fun to hear these stories!!!

PS--I just started a creative writing class at a local university to get started writing again. I love reading about your writing and inspirations on this blog.tierrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17968044653640815533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5037107797013641705.post-29854343694527405672008-09-03T08:08:00.000-07:002008-09-03T08:08:00.000-07:00I love it!
