Update

Okay, everyone, 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

I've lost 2 pounds this week and written 54 pages. Unfortunately, I only rode twice this past week. I was doing well, riding both Monday and Tuesday. Then the arena was closed starting on Wednesday for new footing. I think it reopened this weekend, but I haven't driven in to town to find out.

Let's hope for 3 for 3 next week.

How did everyone else do?

Congratulations Jami! Awesome you wrote 54 pages AND lost 2 pounds! Actually, I think it's darn good you got in two rides as well! I'm not going to comment on my progress. That pretty much says it all. BUT, I'll keep working on it.

Congratulations -- gaining pages AND losing pounds.

I've been walking a lot, enough so that a trip into Manhattan (with all the walking around) didn't leave me a quivering mess for two days. But I'm still holding at my weight.

Well, I'm not actually trying to lose weight, just keep in decent shape, and I did hike the trails twice this last week and rode twice--once in the arena, once on the trails. Didn't get one page done on my next book, though. Too much else going on. I have to admit, I think I'm doing good if I ride twice a week and hike twice a week. Three times of each would be better, but its hard to fit in with everything else. Now I just need to write a chapter a week, too.

I am afraid to weigh. I rode twice.
Sigh.

Jami, wonderful progress! I'm always happy to read another new book that includes horses so I'm glad that you are writing.

I still don't have the nerve to get back on the scale after my initial weigh in so I'm not sure how much I've lost. My size 16 pants are now fitting more comfortably and my 18's are getting quite loose :) Since the scales are too much of a mental challenge for me right now, I'll let my clothes be my guide. Managed to ride once this past week. Monday DD and I helped clean out stalls - I think I must have heaped manure into a big pile for 7box stalls. I lost count of how many times I took the wheelbarrow over to the manure pile through a muddy field. We've had so much rain, the fields are really wet. We now have snow :o/ Two days and two advils later, I'm starting to feel normal again. I don't usually do this much barn work LOL Riding lessons are on for tomorrow night, weather permitting. DD's BD cake and Hallowe'en treats are going to be a challenge!
